"Brother and Sister in Need" (BSIN) was founded in 1961 by Bishop Paulus Rusch and established in 2009 as a church foundation. Since September 21, 2009, BSIN has been a "corporation under public law". We are a Christian aid organization and act according to the mission of charity. Our partners plan their holistic projects and programmes independently. We support them both ideally and financially. Our help should enable the partners to mobilize their own resources in order to break the cycle of poverty.
Our project work is based on three areas: education, health and nutrition, with crosscutting themes in community development and human rights. Here we want to create liveable conditions in the disadvantaged regions through sustainable projects with our partners.
The board consists of between 5 and 7 members, compiled of different expertise. The director of BSIN is managing the board. A representative of the catholic men’s movement and of the diocese is given. Further members are chosen because of their expertise. The board meets at least 3 times a year, normally around February, June and September.
Proposals have to be sent at least 1 month before these board meetings. Please contact us to ask us for the exact deadlines and for sending you our templates for proposals.
